Created by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) tests the skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students in mathematics, reading and science. This data dashboard presents a selection of indicators from recent publications.
PISA Dashboard
This dashboard presents key findings from the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). It brings together data and indicators on student learning outcomes and related themes, allowing users to explore performance trends, compare results across countries and economies, and examine evolving topics such as digital use in schools. The dashboard is regularly updated in line with new PISA releases.
Performance trends
PISA 2022 was the eighth round of the international assessment since the Programme was launched in 2000. The Performance trends dashboard allows you to explore how results changed over time, and to compare trajectories across countries.
Digital leisure outside school
This dashboard presents some of the figures and findings from the PISA 2022 Policy Paper “Finite time to learn and play: Whole student development and students’ digital leisure outside of school”. It explores how much time 15-year-old students dedicate to digital leisure outside of school and the relationship between digital leisure and students’ learning outcomes and well-being at school.
How are mindsets and learning intertwined?
This dashboard presents some of the figures and findings from the PISA 2022 Policy Paper “Mindsets, attitudes and learning: Exploring their connections among students”. It shows that a growth mindset is more common among mid- and high-performing students than among low performers. However, the paper also shows that the students who stand to benefit most from a growth mindset are often those in the middle of the performance distribution—not necessarily the highest achievers.
