The 2021 Annual meeting of the GREEN Action Task Force took place from 12-13 October in the form of a virtual online meeting. The conference provided an opportunity for members and partners to discuss their progress in implementing the GREEN Action Task Force work programme.
As part of the European Week for Waste Reduction, EU4Environment organises an online webinar on 25 November 2021 to discuss waste issues in the Eastern Partner countries, demonstrate success stories and best practices to decrease waste.
UNEP has developed a reporting template which allows countries to report on fossil-fuel subsidy reform under SDG12 (“Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns”) and the related Target 12.c and Indicator 12.c.1. Of the EU’s Eastern Partner countries, Armenia has been selected to fill in and test the reporting template and provide feedback on the facility of its completion.

On 21 April 2021, OECD Secretary-General, Angel Gurría hosted his 5th and last Climate Lecture, in conversation with Ms. Laurence Tubiana, President and CEO of the European Climate Foundation and Lord Nicholas Stern, Chair of the Grantham Research Institute. The lecture is part of the series of Climate Lectures that the Secretary-General has given every two years since 2013.
Within EU4Environment, the kick-off meeting on “Monitoring Ukraine’s Progress towards Green Economy using Green Growth Indicators” launched the work to update the pilot set of the OECD-based green growth indicators in the country. This work will help raise awareness, measure progress and identify opportunities and risks in implementing the National Environmental Policy Strategy until 2030.
The programme EU4Environment helps Georgia design a public environmental expenditure programme with the aim of obtaining adequate resources from the public budget and leverage international co-financing for its implementation.
