The regional seminar will present and discuss findings of a draft OECD assessment report of the environmental compliance assurance system of Georgia and facilitate an information exchange on the latest developments in environmental inspections, available guidance and tools, and lessons learnt.

The Global Forum on Environment is a venue that brings together experts from member and non-member economies to share experiences and explore common policy issues focusing on the environmental dimension of sustainable development and its linkages with economic and social policies. UNEP has developed a reporting template which allows countries to report on fossil-fuel subsidy reform under SDG12 (“Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns”) and the related Target 12.c and Indicator 12.c.1. Of the EU’s Eastern Partner countries, Armenia has been selected to fill in and test the reporting template and provide feedback on the facility of its completion.
