Our latest Economic Outlook, released last Wednesday, paints a very bleak picture. The 6% annual decline in global GDP that we project for 2020 is far bigger than any other decline we have seen in the 60 years of the OECD’s existence.

The OECD joined forces with its partners to collaboratively provide a rapid assessment of the impacts and to start defining the policy responses needed from local and national governments to alleviate the short and long-term effects of the crisis on the cultural and creative sectors.
The OECD Spatial Productivity Lab (SPL) is a dedicated research laboratory that works with local and global partners to improve our understanding of the spatial dimension of productivity growth, the relevance of links between different types of areas and how regional policy can facilitate productivity growth, creation of better jobs and increased well-being.
