10/04/2026 - The Global Forum Secretariat successfully concluded a series of three advanced regional workshops on the Crypto‑Asset Reporting Framework (CARF). The events were held throughout March and April 2026 for jurisdictions across the American and Caribbean regions, the Asian, Middle-Eastern and Pacific regions, and the African and European regions. Building on the momentum of the CARF virtual masterclass held in 2025 (access the course in the OECD Academy), these three workshops brought together over 295 participants from 59 jurisdictions, reflecting strong and sustained engagement as countries prepare for the implementation of the new global tax transparency standard.
The events provided practical, scenario‑based training to deepen participants’ operational understanding of the CARF. Through hands‑on exercises and focused technical discussions, officials examined key components of the standard, including definitions, due‑diligence procedures and reporting obligations, while sharing experiences on the CARF implementation relevant to their regional context.
The Global Forum Secretariat expresses its appreciation for the high turnout and commitment demonstrated throughout the three regional events. The successful completion of the workshops marks an important milestone in global CARF capacity‑building efforts, and the Secretariat will continue supporting jurisdictions through tailored guidance, peer‑learning opportunities and further implementation assistance in the years ahead.
