OECD training on due diligence and responsible business conduct in agricultural supply chains in MENA and Türkiye

This free training programme aimed to support businesses operating along agricultural supply chains - from agricultural inputs to consumer facing brands and retail - that have operations in or are sourcing from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye.

The trainings sought to help companies apply due diligence to:

• assess and address risks, such as human rights and climate change, in their operations and supply chains
• monitor and report on environmental, social and governance risks
• gain a better understanding of emerging due diligence expectations in key export markets

At the launch, OECD speakers and regional experts unpacked key risks, challenges and opportunities for responsible business conduct (RBC) in the region. The session explored the growing importance of RBC and due diligence in agri-food supply chains and introduced OECD RBC and due diligence standards and their relevance for firms in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye.

The training is part of the OECD’s regional programme on Responsible Business Conduct for Sustainable Development: Middle East, North Africa & Türkiye.
