The OECD supports countries in accelerating their industrial transformation by strengthening enabling conditions and identifying financial solutions for near-zero emission technologies, including clean hydrogen. The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Mobilisation (CEFIM) Programme provides in-depth insights into the international assistance required for industry transformation in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs).
The competitiveness of near-zero emission technologies compared to fossil fuel-based options is one of the main challenges to industry transformation. The Framework for Industry’s net zero Transition is the OECD’s approach to overcoming this challenge in countries and industry sub-sectors.
In OECD-supported partner countries, including Egypt, Indonesia, South Africa and Thailand, implementation of the Framework is complemented with dissemination activities through country, regional and international dialogue.
