The Climate Action Monitor is the OECD's annual publication monitoring emissions trends, climate-related hazards and the evolution of relevant policies. Drawing on OECD data, it provides comparable data-driven evidence on progress towards national objectives across OECD Members and partner countries. The 2026 edition addresses three questions: How far are countries from achieving national and global objectives? How are climate-related hazards evolving and affecting people, ecosystems and economic activity? How are relevant policies evolving across countries and sectors? This edition also includes a deeper analysis of extreme heat and drought, climate action in the Asia-Pacific region and progress towards electrification across key sectors of the economy.
