This policy paper brings together key insights on regional attractiveness. It highlights a window of opportunity for regions to attract green and strategic FDI and presents good practices for attracting investments that support regional development objectives. Such objectives may also include attracting, training and retaining the local talent needed (notably for the green transition), and achieving more balanced tourism. It also offers multi-level governance practices to make such policies effective.
