2023 Global Forum plenary meeting

 

ABOUT

Jointly organised by the Global Forum Secretariat and the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira), the 16^th Global Forum plenary meeting was held at the CCL Congress Centre, in Lisbon, Portugal, from 29 November to 1 December 2023. The three-day event brought together ministers, high-level authorities and delegates from 115 countries and jurisdictions, members and non-members of the Global Forum, as well as 13 international organisations, academia and representatives of the civil society.

The public sessions were broadcast live. The second and third days were restricted to members, observers and invitees, with a focus on the sharing of experiences and the adoption of documents.

The 2023 plenary meeting was the occasion to focus on the collective achievements of the Global Forum. The results of close to 15 years of international tax co-operation to address tax evasion fed discussions on the future work of the Global Forum, to ensure the effective implementation of the exchange of information standards.
