Item 6.b. Tailoring the capacity building and outreach assistance to needs
The Secretariat will present an overview of the capacity building and outreach (CBO) programme, tracing its evolution to tailor the assistance to the EOI maturity of the jurisdiction. Successful tailored support and technical assistance activities have enabled jurisdictions — particularly developing ones — to move from commitment to operational readiness and data use.

Item 7. Extending the reach and effectiveness of AEOI: Consolidating progress and preparing for the future
This high-level session will focus on the opportunities presented by the automatic exchange of information (AEOI), including in relation to financial accounts under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and crypto-assets under the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), and what the Global Forum is doing to ensure the effectiveness of AEOI for its members. Discussions will evolve around the benefits of AEOI, including by utilising the CRS information, how the CRS has provided a step change in the ability to ensure tax compliance and the vision for the future, how the peer review process assists in strengthening CRS implementation, benefitting from the enhancements of the amended CRS and moving to exchanges under the CARF. Next steps in the Global Forum’s monitoring and peer review workstreams that are designed to ensure that AEOI is an effective tool for its members will be presented as well.
