The Women Leaders in Tax Transparency programme seeks to:
- Advance women's leadership in tax authorities.
- Strengthen participants' professional and technical capacities.
- Foster a global network of women working on tax transparency.
- Encourage peer support, collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Inspire participants to become leaders, mentors and agents of change within their organisations.
Each year, the heads of tax authorities of developing country members are invited to nominate one female official to participate in the programme. The programme accommodates 20 to 30 participants annually and is delivered over a period of approximately nine months.
The programme is structured around two complementary axes:
- Leadership and mentoring, aimed at empowering women professionals through personalised mentoring, leadership development and professional growth opportunities; and
- Technical learning, focused on the latest developments and emerging issues in tax transparency and exchange of information, enabling participants to strengthen their expertise and contribute more effectively to their administrations' work.
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants become members of the Network of Women Leaders in Tax Transparency, a growing global community of professionals committed to advancing tax transparency and female leadership.
The Network provides a trusted and supportive platform where members can exchange experiences, share knowledge and best practices, discuss professional and personal challenges, and build lasting relationships across jurisdictions. Through these connections, the Network helps strengthen participants' confidence, expand their professional opportunities and foster a lasting culture of peer support and collaboration.
