The reviews of shipbuilding economies provide comprehensive analyses of domestic industry structures, market developments and national shipbuilding strategies. They notably assess how the shipbuilding sectors seize key development opportunies including maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation as well as how they address challenges such as international competition and the need to attract talent to the industry.
The reports are prepared by the OECD Secretariat based on inputs provided by the studied shipbuilding economies, desk research, as well as a field missions involving meetings with ministries, shipbuilding associations and other maritime stakeholders and visits of shipyards and other maritime companies.
