OpenAIRE supports research performing organisations in how to train students, researchers and staff to perform Open Science by providing:
- Guides, factsheets and a helpdesk to support all your needs
- OpenAIRE bootcamps: Train your staff with the experts
- Openplato: Use community co-created and authorised open courses.
The OpenAIRE Community of Practice (CoP) for Training Coordinators is an informal network to share training experiences initiated by a group of people who coordinate training programmes in research domains and e-infrastructures. Together, the CoP aims to map out training activities of various pan-European, such as EOSC-related initiatives (and more recently initiatives beyond the European sphere), and strengthen their training capacity by improved alignment, sharing experiences and good practices, initiating cross-infrastructure training activities.
Another OpenAIRE notable capacity-building feature is its network of National Open Access Desks (NOADs) in participating countries. NOADs act as local representatives that provide localized training and support for open science, help coordinate national efforts to align with OpenAIRE’s pan-European open science objectives, and bridge gaps between national policies and international frameworks like the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
