The OECD is supporting inclusive economic development in Guatemala by promoting smart and sustainable growth through the implementation of OECD standards on responsible business conduct (RBC). Activities focus on five selected supply chains within the agriculture sector: coffee, cocoa, palm oil, sugar, and wood products. This work is funded by the European Union, and jointly implemented with the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the Office in Guatemala of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
Sustaining green and inclusive agricultural supply chains in Guatemala
The OECD is collaborating with the Guatemalan Government, businesses and stakeholders to support inclusive economic development by advancing sustainable and responsible business practices. As part of this effort, the OECD is supporting enterprises in the agriculture sector in aligning with environmental and social governance standards, taking into account regulatory and policy developments on responsible business conduct and due diligence.
