As part of the project Supporting Green and Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains in Guatemala — VER CRECER, the OECD received responses from 59 businesses operating in Guatemala through a national survey conducted in early 2025.
The results provide an initial overview of companies’ level of awareness, current practices and main challenges in relation to responsible business conduct (RBC) and, in particular, due diligence.
This exercise, the first of its kind conducted at country level, represents an important step towards building an evidence base on the adoption of due diligence practices. It also helps identify the challenges businesses face in implementing RBC principles and standards across their operations and supply chains.
The dashboard provides insights into how different types of businesses are responding to factors such as market demands, emerging regulations, including the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), participation in sustainability initiatives, and other elements that influence their due diligence decisions and practices.
