Using the Regional Attractiveness Compass

This working paper provides a practical guide on how to use the OECD Regional Attractiveness Compass to inform regional development and place-based policies. A comprehensive visualisation tool, the Compass measures a region's relative strengths and weaknesses compared to national and international peers across multiple, interconnected factors closely linked to competitiveness, sustainability, and inclusive growth. The paper also presents mutually reinforcing good practices for integrating attractiveness indicators in multi-level governance contexts.
