The OECD assists countries in developing methodologies for both governments and industry to manage risks posed by chemicals and, when appropriate, to harmonise risk management activities on particular chemicals. This includes regulatory, non-regulatory and economic approaches and the associated tools, information and guidance. Sustainable chemistry, alternative assessment and substitution are also included.
