The multifaceted issue of gender-based violence (GBV) presents a serious governance challenge across OECD countries. Women experiencing GBV have complex needs both during and after periods of violence. They often require mental and physical health services, access to justice, housing support, and help for their children, thus requiring a diverse range of services from government and other providers.
