This report offers an in depth analysis of the policy measures and programmes needed to enhance the development of social enterprise and social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. It is the result of in depth research into social enterprise undertaken by an OECD team comprising members of the OECD LEED Secretariat and external experts, drawing on policy expertise, international and national case studies, legislation and economic data. During a study visit to the Czech Republic in June 2015 the OECD team met with a wide range of important stakeholders to gather detailed information and to discuss key elements of the current and desired future social enterprise ecosystem in the Czech Republic. The report is intended to be an encapsulating study, briefly outlining the Czech Republic’s socio economic context, providing an analysis of the current social enterprise landscape and issues, and making policy recommendations for the future.
