LA Referencia is a Latin American network that promotes open science by providing access to scientific and academic publications from national repositories across the region. It supports interoperability and integration of research outputs from Latin American institutions.

Copy link to BackgroundLA Referencia was created as a regional cooperation initiative among Latin American countries to support open access policies and infrastructure. It emerged from a collaboration between national research agencies, universities, and international organizations, aligning with global movements such as OpenAIRE and COAR (Confederation of Open Access Repositories).
