The National Research and Development Agency (ANID) Open Access Policy mandates that all research outputs funded by ANID must be made freely accessible to the public. The policy clearly states the possibility of informing the Agency of publication embargo periods, if they exist. The policy allows for an embargo period, typically up to 12 months, during which access to the publication may be restricted. The same applies to the ANID repository, which consults whoever is depositing about these temporary restrictions. Data generated from ANID-funded projects should be made openly accessible, adhering to the principles of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data. The policy permits a limited period during which researchers have exclusive rights to utilize the data they have produced.
