The Global Forum, jointly organised by the OECD and the IEA, aims to promote dialogue, and enhance understanding among a wide range of countries on key issues relevant to the international climate change negotiations and implementation of the Paris Agreement.
The sessions in this Global Forum will focus on issues relating to adaptation indicators under the UAE-Belém work programme and early insights from biennial transparency reports (BTRs) to inform the next round of nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
The sessions on adaptation indicators are jointly organised with the Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience team in the OECD’s Environment Directorate.
The session on leveraging adaptation indicators to connect national monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems with UNFCCC reporting processes is organised in partnership with the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network / International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD).
There will also be discussions on relevant recent OECD and IEA work.
