  • 12th Global Forum on Tourism Statistics, Prague, Czech Republic, 15-16 May 2014

    The 12th Global Forum was organised jointly by the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic, the Czech Statistical Office, the Czech Tourism Board, the Statistical Office of the European Union (EUROSTAT) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The Forum provided a unique platform to exchange views, experiences, and developments in tourism-related statistics, in an environment that strengthens co-operation between governments, the private sector, academics, and international organisations.

  • 13th Global Forum on Tourism Statistics, Nara, Japan, 17-18 November 2014

    The 13th Global Forum was organised jointly by the Japan Tourism Agency, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Statistical Office of the European Union (EUROSTAT), and have played a prominent role in Nara Tourism Statistics Week. The main theme of the Forum was “Developing, integrating and using regional tourism statistics for business and policy action”.

  • Tourism and Creative Economy Workshop, Linz, Austria on 4-5 September 2014

    The Tourism and Creative Economy Workshop was held in Linz, Austria on 4-5 September 2014, organised jointly by the ARS Electronica Centre, Linz Tourism Office, Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy and the OECD. The workshop presented and build on the OECD review Tourism and the Creative Economy which examined the emergence of creative tourism and the opportunities for generating added value from strengthening the linkages and synergies between tourism and the creative industries. The report was published in the summer of 2014.

OECD Tourism Trends and Policies

OECD Tourism Trends and Policies provides comparative knowledge, both policy and data, through thematic chapters and country-specific policy and statistical profiles. The report highlights key tourism policy developments, focuses on issues that rank high on the policy agenda in the field of tourism and provides a broad overview and interpretation of tourism trends in the OECD area and beyond. Tourism Trends and Policies is an international reference and benchmark on how effectively countries are supporting competitiveness, innovation and growth in tourism beginning in 2008, it is published every two years:

 OECD Tourism Papers Series

This series is designed to make available to a wider readership selected studies drawing on the work of the OECD Tourism Committee. OECD Tourism papers address issues such as trends and policies, innovation, sustainability, skills and statistics. The series complements OECD tourism publications, and aims to share knowledge, stimulate discussion and analysis, and obtain feedback from wider interested audiences on specific topics.
