In 2025, Chile launched a national digital identity strategy to promote secure, trusted, and portable solutions across public and private services. At the request of Chile’s Ministry of Finance, this report explores approaches to governing and financing digital identity systems across OECD countries that can inform the strategy’s implementation. It builds on early engagement between the OECD and Chile, including knowledge sharing and support provided during the strategy design process.
