Infrastructure provides the foundation for regional economic development and wellbeing. Historically significant federal infrastructure funding in the United States provides a historic opportunity to close the current infrastructure investment gap. To scale-up investment in an inclusive way, governments at all levels can seek to adopt more strategic and inclusive planning approaches, enhance coordination, build local public sector capacity and actively forecast market capacity.
