Read the initial assessment issued by the Swiss NCP – 24 July 2019.
On 16 January 2019, the Swiss NCP received a specific instance from the Polish Ice Hockey Players Association concerning an alleged non-observance of the OECD Guidelines by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) with regards to its governance practices linked to the Polish Ice Hockey Federation (PIHF) and its ongoing labour conflict with Polish players. The notifier claims that the IIHF did not develop and apply sound corporate governance practices that would foster a relationship of confidence between the PIHF and the players. The responding party noted that the relationship between the IIHF and PIHF is of a non-commercial nature.
On 24 July 2019, the Swiss NCP published its initial assessment in which it concluded that the submission is not sufficiently material and is outside of the scope of the OECD Guidelines, and as a result, the Swiss NCP did not accept the case for further examination.
