The OECD Trade in Value Added (TiVA) initiative has helped improve understanding of how global value chains operate by tracing the value added embodied in international trade and production. Complementary datasets, regularly updated by the OECD, are available through the Global value chain data across trade, multinationals and services.
The Global value chain data lab brings together additional datasets, indicators and analytical tools developed within the broader TiVA ecosystem. Building on the same underlying concepts and statistical infrastructure, these resources extend the analysis of global value chains to new policy questions, research topics and measurement approaches.
