Intensive care beds capacity

20/04/2020 JPG

While some of the beds and other resources in curative (or acute) care hospital units may be temporarily converted into flexible intensive care units, a key point, especially for COVID-19 treatment, is that intensive care beds need to be equipped with respiratory equipment. There may be differences in the notion of intensive care affecting the comparability of the data across countries.
