Tax Transparency in Latin America 2023: Punta del Este Declaration Progress Report

 

NEW EDITION PUBLISHED ON TUESDAY 27 JUNE 2023

Tax Transparency in Latin America is a key output of the Punta del Este Declaration, a Latin American initiative established in 2018 to tackle tax evasion, corruption and other financial crimes through transparency and exchange of information for tax purposes. The 2023 edition covers 16 Latin American countries and aims at informing decision makers and citizens on the latest progress and remaining challenges in the region.

The launch of Tax Transparency in Latin America 2023 is part of the 8^th Meeting of the Punta del Este Declaration, which will be held in Asunción, Paraguay, on 26-28 June 2023. The event will include a presentation of the report and high-level panel discussions featuring senior politicians, experts from various organisations and jurisdictions, as well as representatives from the civil society. It will be opened by the President of Paraguay, Mr Mario Abdo Benítez.
