This policy paper provides guidance to public-private dialogue (PPD) facilitators and participants in PPD initiatives. It introduces the key elements of a successful process of public-private dialogue, from the sequence of the steps of the process, to the focus, tools and modalities; and discusses fundamental dimensions of the process, such as inclusivity, ownership, and sustainability. The paper includes a checklist for the PPD process, to facilitate the design, implementation and monitoring of PPD initiatives.
