As services become increasingly tradable, understanding their impact on workers is more important than ever. This OECD Policy Brief examines how services trade affects employment through exports, imported services inputs and local spillovers, creating opportunities across sectors and regions. It also explores how services trade reshapes workers' experiences, influencing labour market participation, job mobility, and the types of firms where people work. The findings highlight the importance of policies that help workers adapt and ensure the benefits of a more digital and interconnected services economy are widely shared.
