Hellenic Open Science Initiative (HOSI)

Abstract

The Hellenic Open Science Initiative (HOSI) is the primary platform for consulting with stakeholders on open access, sharing, and reuse of research data and digital objects funded by public resources. HOSI is a collaborative partnership among 16 major Greek research and technology organizations, including the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos," the National Documentation Centre, the University of Athens and many other stakeholders. It develops tools and resources to support the adoption of open science principles across various sectors.

HOSI played a pivotal role in formulating Greece's National Plan for Open Science, ensuring alignment with European initiatives such as the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The plan outlines goals, policies, commitments, and actions for adopting open science in Greece and participating inclusively in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
