The strategy, also known as the “Digital Transformation Bible,” outlines the vision, philosophy, and goals for Greece’s digital transformation. It includes over 400 specific projects aimed at modernizing the public and private sectors through digital technology. The strategy emphasizes the development of digital competencies for citizens, educators, and professionals. Key initiatives include integrating digital skills into educational curricula, establishing a Digital Citizens' Academy for online learning, and implementing lifelong learning programs to address evolving labor market needs.
The Startegy includes several actions regarding Open Science policies and contains a key target the adoption of the National Open Science Strategy. It includes guiding principles from the strengthening of national e-infrastructures and services, to their interconnection with EOSC, to Open Access for scientific publications, research data and software, and to empower the Greek R&D community with the necessary qualifications, digital skills, incentives and reward mechanisms for the adoption of OS at national level.
