24/09/2025 - Zimbabwe hosted the 12th Global Forum Competent Authorities conference on 22-23 September 2025 in Victoria Falls. The event, which brought together 130 participants from 55 jurisdictions, offered officials in charge of exchanging information the opportunity to discuss their practical experiences and identify best practices in international tax co-operation. Jointly organised by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority and the Global Forum on Transparency on Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (Global Forum), the conference was opened by the Honourable David Mnangangwa, Deputy Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion of Zimbabwe, Ms Regina Chinamasa, Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Commissioner General, and Mrs Josephine Matambo, Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Board Vice Chair.
“Beyond revenue mobilisation, your work strengthens accountability and builds the confidence of citizens in public institutions, assuring them that justice and fairness are not ideals, but realities that can be delivered. Together, we can build a global tax system that is fair, transparent and truly people-centered,” said the Honourable David Mnangangwa.
