This closing event brought together competition authorities, policymakers and international stakeholders to reflect on the achievements of the OECD-European Commission Technical Support Instrument (TSI) project “Fighting Bid Rigging in Public Procurement in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece and Romania.”
Participants discussed lessons learned from supporting national efforts to detect, prevent and sanction bid rigging, explored opportunities for continued co-operation across Europe, and exchanged experiences with countries participating in a second OECD-EU project cycle.
The event also marked the launch of a report compiling best practices on the topic and key findings and recommendations for strengthening competition in public procurement through advocacy and co-operation.
