The Global Forum on the Environment and Climate Change, jointly organised by the OECD and the IEA, aims to promote dialogue, and enhance understanding among a wide range of countries on key issues relevant to the international climate change negotiations and implementation of the Paris Agreement.
The sessions in this Global Forum focused on taking forward the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) on climate finance and issues relating to Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) indicators under the UAE-Belém work programme.
The sessions on the NCQG and on GGA indicators were jointly organised with the Finance for Climate Action team and the Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience team, respectively, in the OECD’s Environment Directorate.
The session on delivering an actionable Baku to Belém Roadmap to USD 1.3 trillion was organised in partnership with the COP29 Presidency and incoming COP30 Presidency.
The session on building capacity for reporting on GGA indicators was organised in partnership with the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW).
There were also a special commemorative event during the CCXG Global Forum to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Paris Agreement.
