Medical graduates is the number of students who have graduated from medical schools or similar institutions.
Most OECD countries regulate medical school admissions, often by setting limits on the number of available training places. Training a doctor typically takes around ten years. The indicator covers only those graduating in medicine and excludes graduates in fields such as dentistry, public health, and epidemiology.
