Green innovation and competition

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of this century. Due to the pressure on governments to act, the debate on climate change is moving quickly from the political level to focused conversations on policy choices and implementation options. The 2022 OECD Competition Open Day explored the role of competition policy as a driver of sustainability and investments in green innovation.

The session, available on replay below, featured:  Philippe Aghion (Economist and 2025 Nobel Prize Laureate), Diane Coyle (Professor, University of Cambridge), Thomas Cheng (Professor, University of Hong Kong) and Lluís Sauri Romero (Chief Economist Team, European Commission).
