Development Assistance Committee (DAC) peer reviews serve both learning and accountability. This report is the result of an in-depth consultation and review process. It was produced by a review team comprising peer reviewers Greece (Loukianos Klint, Georgios Psychogios and Nadia Doulavera from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Lithuania (Giedrė Biržytė from the Central Project Management Agency and Dovilė Paužaitė from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs). From the OECD Development Co-operation Directorate, Britta Labuhn, Policy Analyst, served as the lead analyst for the review, together with Emily Bosch, Policy Analyst. Renwick Irvine, Team Lead Peer Reviews, oversaw the review. Olivia Lalonde and Samantha Proteau provided logistical assistance to the review, and formatted and produced the report. Héctor Moreno and Elena Bernaldo de Quiros provided statistical support. Stephanie Coïc was responsible for the graphic design. The report was prepared under the supervision of Robin Ogilvy, Head of Division, Reforms and Partnerships for Development Impact. The report was edited by Suzanne Parandian. Meral Gedik prepared the report for publication.
The team are grateful for valuable inputs from across the Development Co-operation Directorate – including from the Policies and Networks Division and the Financing for Sustainable Development Division. Written submissions from a range of the Slovak Republic’s partners – including non-governmental organisations, the private sector and multilateral organisations – helped to focus and enrich the review.
The Peer Review of the Slovak Republic benefited throughout the process from the commitment and dedication of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation. The review team is also thankful to the Slovak Republic’s Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Kyiv, Ukraine, for their support in establishing contacts with local counterparts and for sharing their insights.
