The OECD National Urban Policy Review of Morocco was prepared by the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE), led by Lamia Kamal-Chaoui, Director.
It was carried out at the request of the Ministry of National Territory and Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy (Ministère de l’Aménagement du Territoire National, de l’Urbanisme, de l’Habitat et de la Politique de la Ville, MATNUHPV) of Morocco within the framework of the Morocco-OECD Dialogue on Territorial Development, which is one of the flagship projects of the Second Phase of the Country Programme concluded between the Government of Morocco and the OECD (2019-2024).
The Review was coordinated by Camille Viros, Head of the Inclusive Growth in Cities Unit, CFE and written by a team composed of Camille Viros, Maria Paula Caldas, Magda Maaoui and Catherine Paquette, under the supervision of Aziza Akhmouch and Soo-Jin Kim, respectively Head and Deputy Head of the Cities, Urban Policies and Sustainable Development Division within the CFE. The Review benefited from the valuable advice of Carlos Conde, Head of the Middle East and Africa Division of the Directorate of Global Relations and Cooperation, Amal Chevreau, Head of the Social Economy and Innovation Unit, and Claire Charbit, Head of the Regional Attractiveness and Migrant Integration Unit, CFE.
