The data collection and fact-finding work in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal was carried out with the participation of a network of statistical agencies, local experts and researchers. For Côte d’Ivoire, primary data were collected through a household survey in collaboration with the National Institute of Statistics of Côte d’Ivoire (Agence Nationale de la Statistique). For Senegal, the qualitative evidence draws on valuable insights from key informant interviews and participatory discussions.
