The multi-country project Building Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development (PCSD) in Austria, Italy, and the Slovak Republic – supported by the European Union’s (EU) Technical Support Instrument (TSI) and implemented by the OECD in 2024-26 – includes a specific component to support the Slovak Republic in conceptualising and assessing sustainable well-being. This report provides technical guidance on well-being measurement and policy application approaches, drawing on the OECD’s longstanding work in this area, to inform and support the development of an indicator set for a statistical sustainable well-being dashboard for the Slovak Republic, contributing to stronger institutional set-ups and a whole-of-government approach to SDG implementation. The report also analyses multidimensional well-being in the Slovak Republic – covering inequalities, trends, and sustainability aspects – while also identifying gaps in official data coverage, timeliness, and alignment relative to the OECD Well-being Framework. A draft of this technical report supported a capacity-building workshop in the Slovak Republic in November 2025.
