The OECD Working Party on Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Converging Technologies (BNCT), under the aegis of the Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy (CSTP), is working towards the development of an OECD Recommendation on Responsible Innovation in Emerging Biotechnologies, expected by the end of 2026. This paper represents a key analytical contribution to the development of the forthcoming Recommendation, and the work was kindly supported by a voluntary contribution from the United Kingdom.
