The OECD Working Group on Bribery is launching the design of its next phase of monitoring the implementation of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, and is seeking stakeholder inputs to inform this process.
The Convention establishes legally binding obligations on its 46 Parties to criminalise the bribery of foreign public officials in international business transactions. Each of the countries Party to the Convention is subject to a rigorous peer review monitoring process conducted in successive phases by the Working Group.
The Working Group is beginning to design its fifth phase of monitoring. To ensure it reflects real-world challenges, emerging risks and practical experience, a multistakeholder consultation will be held during the week of 22 June 2026. Insights gathered will inform the development of Phase 5 to enhance the relevance, effectiveness and impact of the monitoring process.
