Responsible business conduct in Morocco: A strategic lever for sustainability and competitiveness

In 2026, Morocco's National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct and the OECD mark 15 years of responsible business conduct (RBC) in Morocco and 50 years of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. This event aims to raise awareness and strengthen RBC capacity in Morocco. RBC grows in importance as a driver of sustainability, competitiveness and economic resilience. RBC can help Morocco achieve its priorities on sustainable development, industrial upgrading and investment promotion.

The event will bring together businesses, government representatives, civil society, workers’ associations, citizens’ initiatives, international organisations and development partners engaged in responsible business conduct, sustainability, investment and trade in Morocco.

The two-day event features keynotes from high-level government and business speakers, panel discussions, workshop-style breakout groups and networking.

Day 1 – Strategic framing and awareness raising

High-level panels: Take stock of where responsible business conduct stands in Morocco and globally, explore how government can create an enabling policy environment, and hear how businesses are already putting responsible business conduct into practice.

Connect with peers and experts, and share approaches with public decision makers, private sector representatives and international experts from Morocco, the MENA region and beyond.

Learn how to conduct due diligence in line with OECD standards through a hands-on workshop featuring scenarios drawn from real cases.  

Day 2 – Practical implementation and peer exchange

Hands-on due diligence workshop: Explore current themes including artificial intelligence and human rights, industry and decarbonisation, anti-corruption, and occupational health and safety.
