It will draw on best practices in Indigenous business ecosystems in strategic sectors such as mining value chains, tourism, renewable energy and cultural industries across OECD countries, and strategies to strengthen Indigenous-led economic organisations.

It will also explore approaches to expanding market access through public procurement, supplier diversity initiatives, and private sector partnerships across OECD countries. This panel will discuss tools and methodologies to measure Indigenous economies across OECD countries. It will draw on existing frameworks and discuss new ideas to advance measurement, Indigenous data sovereignty and improve the relevance, quality, and comparability of data. The discussion will also consider how better evidence can inform policy, empower Indigenous communities, and contribute to more inclusive and sustainable economic development.
