Plenary I: Unlocking Growth through Competitiveness, Investment and Trade

The session serves as the formal kick-off event for a new multi-country programme “Empowering Trade and Competitiveness in Eastern Partnership Countries”, implemented jointly by the OECD and the International Trade Centre, that aims to identify barriers to growth and help countries unlock new growth opportunities through integrated trade and investment frameworks. 

Plenary II: Advancing Critical Minerals Policies for Sustainable Growth

Critical minerals are essential for the clean technology transition and the development of advanced manufacturing in many sectors. The OECD is working with Central Asian countries on the responsible, sustainable development of their critical raw materials potential, focusing on tax policy, responsible business conduct and the management of environmental risks. 

Special Presentation: Supporting Women’s Rights and Livelihoods in Afghanistan

This session focuses on the dire situation of Afghanistan’s women since the Taliban returned to power and on the work being done to support Afghan women both in-country and in the diaspora.

Plenary III: Driving Resilient and Inclusive Growth through Digital Transformation of SMEs

This session explores the unique challenges faced by SMEs in the adoption of digital technologies, and how digital tools can help SMEs evolve their business models, become more productive, and expand market access. 

The OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Roundtable

The OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Roundtable is a platform that offers participants an opportunity to exchange good practices, share knowledge and monitor progress on reform implementation. This year, the Roundtable discusses peer reviews of key reform priorities in the Republic of Moldova and Turkmenistan.

Plenary IV: Unlocking Opportunity: The Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and Regional Economic Connectivity

This session will explore how enhanced co-operation, supported by initiatives such as the EU’s Global Gateway, CAREC and national connectivity strategies, can make the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor a competitive and sustainable artery, looking at co-ordinated development of hard infrastructure, improvements in border procedures and other “soft” infrastructures, and the integration sustainability considerations into the Corridor’s development.

Plenary V: Powering a Green and Inclusive Transition: Fast-Tracking Sustainable Infrastructure

This session will discuss the findings of the OECD-led Sustainable Infrastructure Programme in Asia (SIPA), which assesses the state of infrastructure policies in the region and their alignment with climate commitments and sustainability considerations.

Plenary VI: Consolidating Ukraine’s Recovery Architecture

This session will delve into the complex landscape of Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction efforts, based on findings and recommendations of a new OECD-led assessment of the co-ordination mechanisms and interventions in Ukraine.
