The 7th Creativity in Education Summit – “Aligning Assessment to Foster Creative Thinking and Improve Teaching and Learning”

17–18 September 2025

This two‑day summit, organised under the OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation’s project Fostering and Assessing Creativity and Critical Thinking, will bring together educators, researchers, and policymakers to examine how assessment practices can nurture creative thinking and strengthen teaching and learning.

The programme combines presentations, round‑table discussions, and interactive workshops, each addressing the opportunities and challenges of embedding creativity into a variety of assessment approaches. Participants will consider recent research, policy directions, and classroom‑level strategies that have shown promise in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.

The event provides a platform for critical dialogue and knowledge exchange on emerging research, policy initiatives, and pedagogical strategies related to creative assessment. It offers a valuable space to share ideas, reflect on evolving practice, and connect with others committed to supporting creative thinking in education.

All Speakers are to be on-site, circumstances permitting. Attendance in person is highly recommended for all participants, to enhance interaction and communication.

Additionally, the sessions will be streamed live for those who wish to join remotely. Priority will be given to questions from those present on-site during the discussion periods.
