Latin America and the Caribbean needs new sources of financing to unlock the region's sustainable development potential. This must be a collective effort, bringing together domestic and international, public and private sectors. What investments can promote competitiveness and inclusion in LAC? How can international development finance institutions and other organisations work with national authorities to promote sustainable financing for development?
These are just some of the questions that will be explored on 2 June at the 17th edition of the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean – LAC Forum, Financing sustainable investment.
The Forum brings together leaders and representatives from the public and private sector, international organisations and civil society to discuss LAC’s most pressing development issues. Jointly organised by the OECD Development Centre, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the French Development Agency (AFD), the Forum is held in the framework of the 12th edition of the Semaine de l’Amérique latine et des Caraïbes, organised by the French government.
