The OECD will release its inaugural Responsible Business Outlook 2026: Making Commitments Count on Tuesday 30 June, starting at 12:00 CEST (10:00 GMT).
The Outlook provides the first global assessment of how companies practice responsible business conduct and how governments promote it through public policies. The report analyses publicly disclosed information from the 10 000 largest listed companies globally and reviews government policies across 52 countries.
The report is published on the 50th anniversary of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct (MNE Guidelines), which is the main international standard for how companies and investors should address their impacts on people, the planet and society.
Journalists can register to participate in the launch event here.
Media requests to receive the report under embargo prior to release should be sent by email to embargo@oecd.org. Journalists requesting an electronic version in advance of the release time agree to respect OECD embargo conditions.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the MNE Guidelines in 2026, the OECD is organising a high-level Global Forum on Responsible Business Conduct. On 29-30 June 2026, senior leaders will gather at OECD headquarters in Paris to chart the future course for responsible business in a world in transition. Key topics will include:
- Creating a level playing field for responsible businesses and avoiding a race to the bottom in a global economy fragmented along geopolitical fault lines.
- Leveraging responsible business due diligence to build fairer, more resilient and more secure supply chains, with people at the center.
- Policy frameworks and incentives needed for responsible leaders to succeed, and for others to change.
- Future efforts in the coming decade to ensure effective and inclusive international co-operation on responsible business conduct.
Registration for a webcast of the public sessions of the Global Forum on Responsible Business Conduct is available here. Additional information on the OECD’s work on Responsible Business Conduct is available here.
